Seam bumps
Seam bumps are internal bumps inside the seam that can be caused by a variety of reasons. Seam bumps can cause the seam to become more susceptible to pressure loss.
Possible causes of seam bumps:
- Problems in the end curl (if the bump is in the cover)
- Problems in the flange (if the bump is in the body)
- Damaged roll
- Broken bearing
- Incorrect seamer setup
- Product entrapment
- Compound issues
- Overtight seam
