* The Coverhook is formed in the first seaming operation. The deeper the 1st operation roll comes in to the chuck, the more of the end curl is kicked up in to the seam (reducing the seam length).
Possible causes for Short Cover Hook:
- Loose 1st operation roll
- Long Body Hook
- Countersink is too deep
- Under-curled end
- Incorrect 1st or 2nd operation setup
